Ghanaian artisan Akoma of West Africa crafts this sleek mask from sese wood. The dark hues of the wood contrast well with the aluminum plate materials that comprise the face. The artist calls this design Enyonam, which means "it is good for me" in the Ewe language.

I recently purchased the āAkoma Geometry scarf- it is exquisitely hand woven by the hands of a true artist. One can tell that so much of who she is was delicately āthreaded in each stitch. Stunningly beautiful work!
