Depicting a bird with a majestic red beak, this African mask is created after the style of Dan tribe festival masks. Ghana's Rapheal L. Commey designs this mask, which is hand-carved from sese wood and given a clay rub for a rustic finish. Accents of embossed aluminum accentuate the high brow and striking beak.

I love the colour, shape and expression of this little guy, but its much smaller than I expected. It might actually be the smallest mask in my collection now.

This wooden mask looks better than in the catalog. The colors are vibrant and the detailing is one of a kind. It adds a rich look to the area where its hanging.
