A profusion of petals and tendrils graces this sleek celadon vase. Kanda uses gae sa lak, a traditional Thai process used in decorative carving. Made of ko or rokfa wood ashes enriched with oxides, the glazes distinguish these traditional Thai ceramics. When the kiln is opened, the change of temperature causes the piece to contract, giving it the distinctive crackled appearance of true celadon.

What a delightful tiny plate this is. Can elegantly hold mints, toothpicks, etc at a dinner table, or rings at a bedside stand. Or, one can just hold it and admire the expert crafting, delicate color and smooth surface like I do. Makes a great little display gift that demonstrates an ancient technique.

Hello Kanda, I received your beautiful little jar. Ive read about your journey and I must say Im glad youve kept that link with your mom by creating these Celadon ceramic pieces. She must be so proud. I would like to add that in addition to your talent, you have a great sense of finishing. Thank you for wrapping the piece I chose in this paper and adding this pretty ribbon. Your parcel made the trip without a hitch and without the slightest breakage. I wish you many more years of success! Thank you so much!
