Daniel Nyadedzor names this beautiful mask for Mangoase, a town in eastern Ghana. Townspeople enjoy relaxing in the shade of mango trees that abound there. "I carved this piece to exhibit the significance of recreation," Nyadedzor says. Shaped like an almond, the mask exhibits symmetrical features embellished with brass and is painted by hand.

I give one star just because of string. This artist want to economize some milimeter in the string and he dont think how it could be hanged on the wall. I bought 3 times and I had always the same problem.

I gave these as Christmas gifts to a business colleague. Something unique and different for those who have everything. Liked the fact they were made of wood.
