This eye-catching table runner is both hand woven and hand embroidered with large, bright purple flowers reflecting the tropics of the mountains of Chiapas. The Highlands are one of the state's major textile centres, a Tzotzil Maya region dedicated to weaving and embroidery. The cotton runner is the creation of Petrona Perez and the Women Artisans Association, and artisan cooperative for women.

“work of art”

I purchased this to gift my neice this comming Christmas. This is beyond what I imagined it to be. The craftmanship, creativity, material, vibrant colors and design make this a true work of art. I am really thinking about ordering several more to gift this holiday season. Kudos to the artist.
