Cool white marble is carved in exquisite detail in this coaster set from artisan Gulam Rasool in India. Six coasters featuring delicately detailed blossoms rest in a holder carved with leafy vine motifs.

A cool green jungle emerges on a set of coasters by Nantana Sompamitre. She crafts the sextet from mango wood, with an elegant pagoda-shaped storage box. She carves the wood into the desired shape and coats it with lacquer. Once dried it is polished, and another coat is applied – up to twenty times. The final layer is polished to a shine with powdered fired clay.

Three mighty elephants march in circles to guard six hand-carved coasters. Centered with roses, they come from Indian artist Gulam Rasool's expertise.
