Decades ago, in the classic Mexico City of the 1930s, a fever dream added an expressionist and colourful accent to the traditional regional arts. Pedro Linares' imagination initiated a famous trend that decade, masterfully merging classic themes with fantasy and creating the alebrijes, a series of imaginary creatures whose vibrant shades and captivating characteristics transport the world to an ethereal dimension.

As a proud inheritor of his country's culture and customs, artist Morneo continues Pedro Linares' legacy with a watercolour composition, portraying a ferocious dragon in the Alebrije style, combining contrasting hues for a vivacious look.
