Thai artisan Wilai uses a unique eco-printing process known as ouke--a Northern Thai word that means "ripen by heat"--to create the pattern on this sleeveless maxi dress. The artisan steams a selection of leaves and flowers, imprinting their image all over the cotton fabric. Two side pockets and a zipper closure complete the dress with subtle, welcome details.
Please note: Due to the unique process used, there will be variations in the motif, colors, color density, and color placement. The organic materials leave unique stains and shapes on each piece. These irregularities make each dress a one-of-a-kind work of wearable art.

This was a birthday gift for my wife and she absolutely loves it. Whenever she wears it out in public she receives lots of compliments. Her weekly gathering of friends just love the garment and have been highly impressed that her husband purchased it for her and they all want me to order similar dresses for them. She especially loves the pockets in this dress as well as the color and the cotton fabric.

I wore this long dress to a garden party over the weekend and several guests commented on how beautiful it looked. The design allows for flowing movements which, coupled with the summery colours, give an impression of both elegance and whimsy. Love it!

This dress fits perfectly, I ordered based on the size in the artists drop menu, not the standard size chart, and it was exactly right! Its a great balance between flowy and solid, and its a perfect length with a standard slip under. The pattern is beautiful and organic100% would recomend!
