Peruvian artisan Alfredo Falcon uses baby alpaca wool, which refers to the fine fleece from the season's first shearing, to knit this sophisticated scarf.

A beautiful shawl, in a good, wearable size. Soft and lightweight and warm. You should know, though, that gossamer wine and maroon are the same color! I would love to see some new colors, and not just new names for the same colors.

This is a really beautiful, open weave--shell-like pattern. Its not as soft as what I expected for 100% baby alpaca.

I bought this for myself thinking it was a dark olive green. It is not - its a dark teal. Also, the neckhole and shoulder width are very small. I ended up giving it to my mom, who is 5 1 tall and slender, and it fit her perfectly. I wouldnt get this for anyone who isnt very slender and narrow-shouldered.
