Mexican artisans Fernando and Magali Pedro create this small jaguar mask using the time-honoured techniques of Oaxacan barro negro. The distinctive black colour and slightly metallic sheen are obtained by polishing the clay's surface with a quartz stone before the piece is fired. The decorative mask can be displayed on a wall or table.
