Two ornate medallions complement one another — one curved and ornate, the other squared and geometric. Five filigree teardrops host diminutive flowers, evoking a dance from bygone times. By Michael Krainer, this handcrafted necklace features a precious piece of Roman glass, which began life as a vase, jug, or vessel. Uncovered from ancient Roman archaeological sites in modern-day Israel, and sourced from a reputable antique dealer authorized by the Israeli government, each piece not only bears the marks of its past life as a household or temple object, but also has been transformed by the very earth in which it rested.

These are exactly as described and just what I was hoping they would be. They will be a valued part of my earring collection.

This necklace is absolutely beautiful! From the Roman glass diamond, which is accurately described by Novica, dangles a smaller silver teardrop shape with a fragment of Roman glass in the center. This necklace was a gift for my mother-in-law. I have a tradition where I give her Novica jewelry for her birthday and Mother s Day. She has now received several pieces and says she always receives compliments on them. I think this one might actually be her favorite! I could tell from her reaction, that she really really loved it!!!
