Artisan Evelyn Kafui Ahianyo in Ghana presents this joyous sculpture, hand carved from sese wood. The piece depicts a mother and child reveling in each others' company. Their arms form an unbreakable circle of love and affirmation. The artisan applies clay at the base for a textural accent. The artisan names the sculpture dada kli vi, which means "mother and child" in the dialect spoken by the Anlo tribe in the Volta region of Ghana.
