Oaxacan Ceramic Wall Cross, "Coyotepec Cross"

This ceramic wall cross is created by Fernando and Magali Pedro in Mexico is a beautiful way to express your Christian faith. The artisans work in the traditional Oaxacan art form called barro negro or "black clay". The dark colour and slightly metallic sheen are achieved by polishing the clay's surface with a quartz stone or piece of obsidian before the cross is fired in the kiln.
