Although they can be mistakenly called "tigers" in Latin America, Central America is territory for a number of wild cats. This reality is colourfully depicted here with a wild cat climbing a tree to safely sleep during the night. The decorative pinewood plate is the creation of the Guatemalan artisan organization Maya Artists Group.

These hacky sacks were a gift for my children. They are having a lot of fun with them, and they are well-made.

A pair of glamorous stools with exquisite geometric motifs are a charming addition to the garden room in my nineteen century row house in Baltimore. Seated on the chairs are two West African fish carved from wood in shades of green and yellow. Bravo!
