The ancient Inca discovered the attributes of this fiber, reserving it for the exclusive use of the aristocracy. Berckholtz prefers to use the wool from the season's first shear, termed baby alpaca and much sought after for its soft, lightweight warmth.

“Just as described”

I like Alpaca. This is a beautiful scarf and just as described. Just the right length. What was more amazing is scarf left Lima Peru on 12/27 and arrived at my office in the States on 12/29!

Very nicely crafted scarf. Cozy and warm. Price on the high side, but quality is top notch. Bought several more in different colors.
