Meaning "patience" in the language of the Mamprusi people, the Sougri necklace is a fabulous new design by Ila Suleyman. The artisan-crafted necklace features a bone pendant as well as a sickle-shaped horn expertly knotted within the green leather strands of this torsade necklace. It fastens with a black recycled plastic toggle.

From northern Ghana, the Mamprusi people are predominantly rice and cattle farmers who use cow hide and bones to create various items including jewelry and accessories.
