"The colours remind us of sunrises over the volcano," say the women of the K'amolon K'i K'ojonel association, who create this unique poncho. Working on a back strap loom, this community of women first weave the fabric with cotton and bamboo rayon yarns. The fabric in shades of rust, teal and saffron is then then stitched together to create this simple poncho, which allows the artistry of the fabric to be the hero.

I love this woven scarf, but it s quite long on me. I am 5 foot two and have to wrap it over around my neck numerous times..

Kamolons poncho is everything described. I like wearing it with a tank top underneath or a three-quarters length cotton shirt. Can be dressed up or down. Mostly I love knowing something about the artist and supporting her excellent work.
