Danish mathematician Piet Hein invented the soma cube in 1933 to distract himself during a lecture on quantum mechanics. Give yourself a similar distraction with this twist on a classic designed by Thai artisan Waraporn Khamsuk. While traditional soma games contain just seven pieces, the artisan designs this version with 17 geometric pieces. Carved from raintree wood, the object of this puzzle is to arrange the pieces to form a cube.

I got this early for Xmas this year and I am sure they will love it. I have purchased a few puzzles like this and everyone I have gifted them to has really enjoyed them. Great for on desks at work, or in kids rooms, or even scattered in a living room for friends to play with. I have loved every one of these I have bought and from the responses, so has every person that received them.
