A traditional Andean instrument, the ronroco with its distinctive shape and sound is similar to the charango but larger. Benito Tito creates this ronroco with a relief of the tumi — a type of ceremonial knife native to Peru — carved into the back. Displaying a beautiful combination of pinewood, jacaranda wood, and congona wood, this lovely handmade instrument features metal and nylon strings. It includes a carrying case of colourful acrylic cloth.

Over the years, I have collected many flutes. This one is exceptional. The wood is perfectly suited for its purpose and lovingly crafted. The holes are just the right size and spacing to achieve the notes effortlessly (without having to partially cover one to hit the true pitch). I got two and a half octaves from it right from the start. The tone is resonant and haunting (in the best way). I absolutely love this flute! The bag that comes with it is vibrant and offers good everyday protection.
