Painted in brown and neutral tones, this wall mask is hand-carved from sese wood by artisan Kwasi George of Ghana. Inspired by the ceremonial masks of the Bakota people in northeastern Ghana, the artisan designs the mask to symbolize kingship.

This is a gorgeously carved crow that is very special to me! The sculpture itself is actually bigger than I expected, and looks so wonderful next to our indoor plants. It feels indebted to nature and also a celebration of crows ? their wonderfully unique, crafty and inquisitive personalities, not to mention their beauty. Traditionally carved and expertly crafted, there are many details like the intricate feather carvings that do not interfere with how smooth and sleek the sculpture itself is. Thank you so much to Kwasi George for this beautiful gift.
