Using rich oil paint, Thai artisan Nikom hand paints a beautiful scene of cranes in flight on this stunning decorative parasol. The artisan stretches traditional Thai saa paper over a sturdy bamboo frame before painting the motif in vivid shades of green, red, white, and black. Saa paper has been handmade in Thailand for more than 700 years from the bark of the mulberry tree.
