Hand-Painted Dark Brown and Yellow African Sese Wood Mask, "Nyame Nsa"

The always-beautiful Ghanaian lands inspire many with their culture and arts, all evoking the ancient splendor of the African civilizations. As part of this series of marvelous artworks, Ransford Bediako creates an African sese wood mask in a palette of dark brown and yellow hues, depicting a person wearing traditional hair accessories. The piece, polished for a lustrous look, is painted by hand and titled Nyame Nsa, which means "God's hands" in the ancient Akan language.
