The careful use of acrylic paint and polish highlight the woman's alluring hair, eyes, and lips. The artisan refers to this work as oheneba, meaning "King's Child" in Twi, a dialect spoken by the Akan people of Ghana.

a favorite acquisition”

I have purchased several masks. Each has been interesting in its own way but I think this one is my favorite and now hangs in my office where I can see it all day. I love the surface patterning and the unusual facial expression and configuration.
