This attractive mask is the original design of Awudu Saaed from Ghana. Hand carved from rubberwood and given a dark brown finish, the mask is then accented with embossed brass plates that evoke tribal scarification. The head of an elephant looms above, his trunk extending to the bridge of the nose.

“Incredible Artwork”

Not sure how I stumbled upon this mask in the first place but from the moment I saw it, something about it haunted me. Its beautiful. I could NOT stop thinking about it and finally caved, and Im so glad I did. The colors, the beadwork, and the craftsmanship are all incredible. This is my favorite piece of art we own, by far. I cant wait to collect more of Awudu Saaeds work.
