The purple looks as if its dyed leaves. Such a rich, dark purple. The button is attached securely. The handmade paper is a bonus. I cant wait to use as a sketch book or journal in my travel bag. Very well made. Pretty enough to leave out on desk top. It would make a lovely gift for an artist, poet or anyone who likes to jot down their muses in a one of a kind notebook. Guest book in your guest room, family recipes for a niece or nephew, written story made up with a grandchild... The options are limitless.

I ordered this as a gift for a friend. It arrived in perfect condition, beautifully wrapped in heavy paper decorated with a hand-made straw figure.
