An old song of the Ayacucho region has the retama flower, also known as the weaver's broom, as one of the principal elements of its lyrics, made in honour of those who courageously endured the darkest times of the country. Inspired by the brave spirit and culture of the Andes, artisan Waldo Berrios creates a reversible scarf featuring the flower in a palette of black and red hues for an intense style. The accessory is crafted from an alpaca, acrylic and wool blend, adding a soft texture to the design.

I was well pleased with the meaningful design and quality of the cap. It was given to my son as a Christmas present. He lives in New York and it does get quite cold up there. He seemed well pleased and happy with it. I thought it was beautiful. My only thought was that it was a little thin, but my son said that was not a problem and was so nice he would be proud to wear it anywhere!
