Ceramic and Wood Andean Women Retablo Hand-Painted in Peru, "Countryside Women"

This is a very picturesque retablo of a typical scene of the Andes where women work to contribute to their families and the education of their children. Here they are seen collecting flowers and petals to put up for sale. Peruvian artisan Erika Ulloa made this colourful design with the goal of capturing a bit of the essence of the hard-working Andean women among the mountains in a hand-painted piece that is hand-crafted from ceramic, MDF and faux leather hinges.
