Guatemala's Zandra Lorena Sajbin designs a ring of regal beauty crowned with faceted black jade. The Maya called it ya'ax chich and regarded jade as a sacred symbol of life, fertility and power. Sajbin handcrafts the sterling silver ring with extraordinary artistry.

I had my eye on this piece for awhile. It did not disappoint. The jade is a deep green and the setting complements it so well.

I have an Indonesian Irian Jaya blue tongue skink, so when I saw a necklace with a lizard on it, I knew I had to have it. It is of a good weight and the carving of the lizard on the necklace matches a leather strap bracelet that I also purchased from Novica.
