Kobina Asmah pays tribute to the Abyssinian cat, once believed to have originated in Ethiopia. Carving sese wood, he depicts the elongated legs and big ears of the native African feline. Applications of repoussé suggest the unique coat, and bright beadwork adds color.

Very disappointed with the face of the cat. Not nearly as nice as it looks on the website.

The piece is true to what is depicted. I'm a lover of cats and enjoy seeing this sculpture on my floor, in a corner spot. Thank you Kobina for your dedication to the arts, and to animals.
