Entitled Obrempong--the Ghanaian Akan word for "great one," this mask is crafted by hand in West Africa under the watchful eye of Ibrahim Seyeed. Carved from native sese wood, the mask is then embellished with textured aluminum plates and acrylic paint and features a jute beard.
