A magnificent dichromatic design in dramatic tones of daffodil and chocolate graces this fabulous mask by master potter Samuel Lovi. It features Lovi's "Picasso" mask design which carries distinct African tribal motifs.
Clay abounds in the southern part of Ghana; it takes an expert, however, to get the sand in the clay thoroughly washed out. In fashioning this piece, the artisan first prepares and molds the clay. He then fires the molded piece in a kiln at high temperatures, ensuring that it is hardened to the required strength. After cooling, it is hand-painted, providing its distinctive appearance. Complement any décor with this handcrafted mask.
