Abstract images in shades of plum, sky blue, navy and spring green come to life in Bali's legendary hand-stamped batik. By Desak Nyoman Parwati, this set of four rayon face masks is pleated with elastic to loop over the ears. They are double-layered, washable and reusable.

“Theyre reversible...”

You are getting 8 masks for the price of 4. The masks fit perfectly. The colors are beautiful. The material is so soft. I bought a set for myself and for my sister. We both are so pleased with the quality, workmanship and comfort.

“4 masks”

I thought I needed some different masks so I purchased these and am very pleased. They actually are double sided with a solid color. I really do like the colors of them all plus, they are easy for me to get on unlike some I own. Very, very p!eased, thank you.

“Beautiful!”

These face masks fit well and comfortably, and are beautiful. I ordered second and third sets and gave some out to family. Now I am ordering a fourth set. The are double layer and comfortable when I wear 2 at a time for air travel.

“Soft, comfy and so pretty”

I have several creations from Desak Nyoman Parwati. This dress is as lovely as the other favorite. How do I choose? They are so soft. Flowy, comfortable. Not excessively loose. Pockets! Ive warned to a picnic birthday party for a teenager and to my nieces graduation when she became a doctor. Dress up or down with jewelry and types of shoes and these are the perfect summer all occasion dresses.

Preserving Traditions

For eleven years Desak worked with a batik artisan learning all aspects of the process, from wax painting to dyeing. From her, she learned not only the art of batik and textile design but also how to care for her workers. In her workshop, Desak and the older artisans generously teach their art to the younger artisans, preserving for another generation this UNESCO cultural treasure.

Microcredit Financing

Desak Nyoman Parwati has received 3 microcredit loans with 0% interest from Kiva and Novica, the first for $2800 and the most recent for $4000. Proceeds were used to invest in the purchase of textiles and batik dyes to increase production in time for the holiday season.

Job Creator

Through perseverance, Desak has grown her workshop. She now employs members of her family and give jobs to other artisans in her community.
