Hand-knit textures revel in the yana (the Quechua word for "black") hue of this hat. Alfredo Falcon crafts the piece from 100% alpaca, its subdued design imbued with Peruvian style. The alpaca thrives at the extraordinarily high altitudes of the Andes, resulting in a fiber of unparalleled softness and warmth. A hip accessory for the winter wardrobe.

Theres nothing like alpaca, even better than cashmere. And when the hat is beautifully made and you have absolute confidence in the seller, its a cinch to be a great purchase--which it was. I have so much respect for the artisans who keep the ancient crafts alive. Thank you!

Very comfortable and warm hat. The 100% natural alpaca is a beautiful weave. The length of the hat can be worn over the ears for cold weather or like a cap for warmer weather.

Exactly what you would expect from an alpaca watch cap. Lightweight, soft and warm. Much lighter than my cashmere or wool caps. Fine, very fine workmanship. Would definitely recommend.

I love this hat. I have gloves that I love so decided to order the hat to match. It is warmer than the wool hat I have been wearing. My only complaint is that the hat is long and I have to fold the bottom edge up twice, which makes it very thick around my head. Keeps my ears warm but awkward to put on and adjust to the right fit.
